Reiki is a spiritual practice that is based on the belief that the therapist can channel energy into the patient by means of touch, to activate the natural healing processes of the patient's body and restore physical and emotional well-being. The word "Reiki" is derived from two Japanese words: Rei, which means "universal life force," and Ki, which means "energy."

During a Reiki session, the patient lies down comfortably while the therapist places their hands on or near the patient's body in various positions. The therapist then channels the universal life force energy through their hands to the patient, with the intention of balancing the energy within the patient's body and promoting healing.

Reiki is often used to treat physical and emotional pain, anxiety, stress, and depression. It is also used as a complementary therapy alongside traditional medical treatments. The practice of Reiki is considered safe and non-invasive, with no known side effects.

Please note this is not massage therapy and cannot be billed to insurance.
